Information, not advice

The calculators and articles here exist to explain and to estimate. They are not medical advice and they do not stand in for a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Each tool runs a published equation or a planning heuristic, and the page around it tells you where that equation stops being useful to you. They cannot plan care for children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating-disorder recovery or medical conditions, and athletes often need more specific assessment than a circumference formula can give. So do not delay or ignore professional advice because of a number you read here. Ask someone qualified instead. The disclaimer goes through the limits tool by tool.

No warranty

The Site comes to you as is. We aim for correct formulas. We check each one against published reference values. We do not warrant that results are error-free, complete, or right for your circumstances.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on anything it produces. Any limitation of liability is subject to applicable law, and nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party links and ads

Google AdSense funds the Site, and its code runs on the calculator pages and the guides. Google and its partners choose and measure the ads you see, and an advertisement here is not an endorsement of its health claims or its products. The Site also links out to research papers and health organizations, and those destinations sit outside our control. We are not responsible for their content, their products or how they handle your data. The privacy policy lists the identifiers.

Acceptable use

Read the pages, run the calculators, quote us with a link. Do not scrape the Site at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not republish the guides wholesale as your own. The explanations, the article text and the calculator code belong to the site operator.

Changes

These terms can change at any time. Carry on using the Site after a change and you accept the new version, and the date at the top tells you when this page last moved.
