Fitness Calculator gives you general educational information and estimates. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using it does not create a clinician-patient relationship.
Scope of the estimates
Every tool here answers one narrow question. Here is where each of them stops.
- BMI describes your weight relative to your height and cannot tell muscle from fat, and the adult categories here start at age 20.
- BMR estimates resting energy from a published equation. Your own resting burn can sit either side of that figure, sometimes by a few hundred calories.
- Calorie and TDEE results multiply that resting estimate by an activity factor you pick yourself. The intake scenarios are illustrative. They do not set a personal minimum or a safe diet for you.
- Macro splits divide a calorie target into grams using a ratio you choose. That ratio is a planning convention.
- Body-fat figures use the traditional Navy circumference equations, where individual error varies and fat-free mass covers a good deal more than muscle. These results do not determine current military eligibility.
- The Army body-fat tool applies the published waist-to-height standard, and your official result still comes from a measurement the Army takes with a tape.
- ACFT scores apply the published scoring scales to the performances you type in. A graded test event decides your real score.
- Ideal-weight comparisons use Devine, rounded Robinson, Miller and Hamwi. Those four equations are reference points, not medication-dosing instructions or health targets for you.
- Water intake runs a rough weight-and-exercise heuristic. It does not measure your hydration, your sweat losses or your electrolyte needs.
So read all of it as general adult education. Children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating-disorder recovery and medical conditions need proper assessment instead, and athletes often need more specific measurement and guidance as well. And if someone has given you a nutrition or fluid plan, follow the plan.
When to seek care
Take your symptoms, your medications and your personal health decisions to a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay care because a calculator here looks reassuring. For a suspected medical emergency, call your local emergency number. Call it straight away.
Accuracy and responsibility
We check the calculations and revise the explanations, and errors and outdated information remain possible. This site has had no independent clinical review. The editorial policy explains how the review process works, and you can report a correction through Contact.
The site comes to you without a guarantee that every result is complete or suitable for your circumstances. Any limitation of liability is subject to applicable law, and nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. See the terms of use.
Advertising and external sources
Google AdSense pays for this site. Ads run on the calculator pages and the guides. An advertisement is not an endorsement of its health claims or its products, and Google's system, not ours, decides which of them turns up beside a result you have just worked out. Google and its partners may store or read identifiers on your device, which the privacy policy explains.
Linked research and health-organization pages belong to their own publishers. Those publishers control that content and those privacy practices.
